Why do I have a blog?

I guess everybody's doing it. Really, though, I'm not sure who would be interested in what I'm doing. And, beyond that, do I really have time to be tapping at the keyboard any more than I already do?!

Today's interests: finish up some long-lingering stuff at work, try to enjoy the sun that's peeked from behind the clouds.

Anybody know how to get suspend/sleep working on a Dell Inspiron 4150 running (roughly) Debian Sid? This all worked perfectly when I had a heavily-modified Redhat 8.0 installation (including kernel 2.6.8), but doesn't since I upgraded to Debian. This makes my laptop, which should be portable not very portable. Very annoying.

In the KDE Control Center, I believe their is an option, assuming you have the proper kernel support or modules loaded. I am sure linuxquestions or the documentation project has an answer. Probably an APM issue.
